Indian Contemplative Retreat from 17th to 24th November 2019

We have started our Indian Contemplative Retreat at N.B.C.L.C. Bangalore from 17th to 24th Nov 2019. About 25 participants were profited from this retreat from all over India and abroad too. Fr.Sebastian Painadath, sj., of Sameeksha, Kalady, Kerala and Sr.Rose are the animators of this Retreat. St. Paul’s conviction and life of Paul could be summarized in one phrase: “It is not I who live but it is Jesus who lives in me”. Paul describes the various dimensions of the transition from the old to the new life in Christ. Our life evolves not before Christ, but within Christ. The retreat hold on this central theme and it was reflected in our Indian context through deeper meditations in silence, solitude with nature and prayer. An initiation to Indian spirituality and practice of Jesus Prayer was offered as part of this retreat. This retreat inspired and energized the participants. The participants had a wonderful time in NBCLC, enjoyed the quietness of this place which helped all the participants to make fruitful retreat. We thank God for His mercy and graces during these days.
