SCHOLARSHIP
Priests & Religious
•
Priests and religious will be granted to the Priests and Religious by the Catholic Council of India (CCI).
•
It will be offered to those who are in in-going formation or in the pastoral ministry.
•

The application for the scholarship should be accompanied by a recommendation letter from the Local Ordinary / Major Superior.

Lay Persons

For Lay Persons the National Centre will offer partial scholarship.
•
They should register themselves by an advance payment of a Registration Fee of Rs. 300/- (non-refundable).

GUIDELINES INFORMATION
NBCLC (National Centre) is situated in Cooke Town on the North-Eastern part of the city (between Cox Town and Banaswadi Railway Station). Auto drivers who do not know the area may be asked to proceed towards ITC (formerly, Indian Tobacco Company) / Bangalore East Station (Pottery Road side). Cross over the railway line to the north of East Station, take Wheeler Road Extn., and carry on till you find a signpost NATIONAL CENTRE (NBCLC) on your right hand side, on Hutchins Road 2nd Cross. The Centre is at the end of the road.
Arriving by TRAIN: The Centre is about 1 km from Bangalore East Railway Station (minimum auto fare, 5 km from Cantonment Railway Station and 10 km from City Railway Station. Prepaid autos are available from the Cantonment, Yeshwanthpur and City Railway Stations. From Yeswantpur Railway Station to National Centre, the auto charges may be about Rs. 150/- to 170/-.
Arriving by BUS: Get down at Majestic Bus Station and take an auto to National Centre (approximate cost Rs. 80/-) or take a local bus from Platform 19 going in the direction of Banaswadi / ITC and alight at ITC (area Cooke Town). From there, NBCLC is a 7-8 minutes walk (or minimum auto fare).

From K.R. Market – 300A, 301A, 302C
From Shivajinagar – 300J, 300L, 302, 302G, 303C
Arriving by FLIGHT: Please take the VOLVO bus from airport up to Coles Park which is about Rs. 165/-. From Coles park take an auto and ask them to proceed towards ITC (formerly, Indian Tobacco Company) / Bangalore East Station (Pottery Road side). Things Required
•
The NBCLC will provide every participant with bed linen (one bed sheet, pillow cover, blanket & mosquito net). Those who need more bed sheets should bring them along. Kindly bring your own towel and soap.

Except from March to May, Bangalore has a generally cool climate, hence bring warm clothes
•
Writing material and note paper.
•
Suitable dress for yoga sessions.
•
A Bible for Biblical training sessions.
•
Priests will be provided with mass vestments.
Purchase of Books: During the seminar / course there will be an opportunity for purchasing books from the NBCLC book stall.
Excursion: An organized tour to Mysore / Bangalore will be arranged on the intervening Sunday during the seminar / course. The participants will have to bear the expenses.
Extension of Stay: The participants are kindly requested not to arrive earlier than the previous day of the seminar / course, and not to prolong their stay after the seminar / course. Those who want to arrive much
earlier or remain longer are requested to arrange for their stay elsewhere in the city.
