Report of the Tamil seminar 2023

Report of the Tamil seminar or Lay Leadership held at NBCLC, from 10th to 16th January 2023.The Seminar started at 9:00am with 41 participants. The inaugural function lighting of oil lamp, Bhajans, Gospel reading and prayer service held. After welcome address by the Director Rev. Dr. John Baptist gave the inaugural address. Felicitating was given by Swamy A. Louis, Angeli Ashram, Mysore and dynamics of the Swamy explained by Rev. Dr. X.D solvary, Tututorin.

In the first session WHO AM I? Was explained followed by self introduction. In the afternoon, dynamics and Leadership quality was explained. On his second day “Social Analyses” were interdicted to the participants. In this afternoon after group discussions and reporting II Vatican Council was introduced. On the third day family spirituality, role of women in the family and church were explained. In the afternoon time Youth in the society and church were discoursed in details. On the 4th day the Leadership role was played by Jesus Christ in the society were explained well, followed by the Aposlatate of the Laity and social involvement of Laity were explained. Afternoon time Interfaith Dialogue, Church in the Morden world, new vision of the church were explained.

On the 5th day II Vatican document on Church and the duties of rights of the laity were explained. After group discussion on reporting, Inculturation, Participatory statutes, Anbiyams of Parish Pastoral Councils were discussed. In the evening penitential service was conducted On the Sixth day Pongal was celebrated by adopting Inculturation and social customs. On the day Social teachings of the Church and Religion and Jesus were explained. Participatory associates’ movement and social action group were informed and requested the participants to join at list in any one of this assiocision.

After question and answer session how and why to involve us for social change is explained. The positive and negative use of social Medias was explained. On the closing day the Leadership role of the Laity in society and Church were closely explained and the participants were encourage and guided individually to draw up a plan of action for feffowship on their retreat to their respected parishes or places. In the valedictory session four participants orally gave feedback on the fruitful experience they have had in the course of seminar and also individual evolution in writing was conducted. The certificates were distributed to the participants. The seminar also included liturgy, yoga, Marian devotion and prayer session. Thought the duration of the seminar was short, on the whole it was on experienced one, both for participants and animators and they have carried sweet memories of their stay at NBCLC.
