Leadership Programme for Young Religious and Priests
1st–14th May 2026

“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” John C. Maxwell

The Leadership Programme for Young Religious and Priests, held at NBCLC from 1st to 14th May 2026, was a transformative journey of learning, reflection and growth. The programme aimed at nurturing young religious leaders by enriching them intellectually, spiritually, psychologically and pastorally.

Through inspiring sessions led by experienced resource persons, participants explored themes such as leadership, communication, consecrated life, mission, self-awareness, psychological integration, interfaith dialogue and creative ministry. The programme encouraged deeper reflection on religious identity and strengthened the commitment to serve with compassion and vision.

A special highlight was the Interfaith Religious Conference, Buddha Basava Namana, which promoted harmony, peace and mutual respect among people of different faith traditions.

The sessions reminded participants that authentic leadership begins with self-awareness and grows through service. As Pope Francis says, “The true leader is the one who serves.” The programme inspired young religious to become prophets of hope, builders of communion and courageous witnesses of the Gospel in today's world.

The course concluded on 14th May 2026 with a sharing session and thanksgiving. Filled with renewed enthusiasm and missionary zeal, the participants returned to their communities ready to lead with wisdom, humility and faith.

"Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)
