From May 21st to 25th, 2024, the National Biblical Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC) resonated with the voices of 35 dedicated lay leaders from 14 dioceses, as they participated in the "Deepening and Widening Seminar in Tamil for Laity." This vital program, designed to strengthen the laity's role as witnesses of God's reign, provided a transformative space for growth and empowerment.

Led by the insightful Fr. X.D. Selvaraj, the seminar offered a comprehensive exploration of key themes crucial for effective lay leadership. Participants delved into the essence of Jesus' leadership, gaining a deeper understanding of His model of servant leadership. They engaged in robust social analysis, examining the realities of their communities and identifying opportunities for positive change. A thorough study of Vatican II documents provided a solid foundation for understanding their roles within the Church, while practical action planning sessions equipped them with the tools to translate their insights into tangible action.

The seminar fostered a dynamic and interactive learning environment. Participants actively engaged in group discussions, panel discussions, and personal reflections, creating a rich tapestry of shared experiences and insights.
