Batch 1 & Batch 2
20th to 27th July 2022
National Biblical Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC), Bangalore, organized a counselling course for religious Superiors and Formators. 57 religious men and women from across India participated in this course on counselling. The inaugural session started with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a short prayer. Fr. A. John Baptist, the Director of NBCLC, introduced the resource person, Sr. Mary CJ (UFS).
The daily activities were well planned. The day started with Morning Prayer and the Holy Eucharistic celebration at 7 a.m. Every day there were five sessions, three in the morning and two in the afternoon. The morning sessions were held from 9 am to 12.30 pm and the afternoon sessions, from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The evening prayer, which included the praying of the Rosary, was at 6.45 pm. There was sufficient time for meditation and personal prayer as well. The participants were divided into small groups and each group was assigned activities such as planning the liturgy of the day, leading the prayers, cultural events during the recreation, assisting the staff in the kitchen, setting the dining tables and such other day to day activities of the Centre. These and the regular breaks in between the sessions and time for recreation after supper provided ample opportunities to the participants to interact and to bond with each other more closely. During the recreation the participants displayed their God-given talents to entertain and revel. The administrative and supportive staff of NBCLC spared no effort to make stay of the participants comfortable and enjoyable.
Sr. Mary guided the participants very efficiently and effectively with her vast knowledge and her enormous hands on experience in counselling. The participants expressed their heartiest thanks to the Director, NBCLC, for organizing this course, to the resource person, Sr. Mary CJ (UFS), for her well planned and articulated sessions and to all the administrative and supportive staff who made all arrangements for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
