The Ash Wednesday programme titled “Lend Your Heart for the Lent” was prayerfully conducted at NBCLC on 18th February 2026, marking the beginning of the Lenten season with a call to renewal, repentance, and reconciliation. A total of 145 participants from 22 congregations actively took part in this grace-filled gathering.

The programme began with a warm welcome by Fr. Dr. A. John Baptist, Director of NBCLC, who highlighted Lent as a sacred journey of inner transformation through prayer, fasting, and charity. The sessions were animated by Fr. Arnald Mahesh SDB, who offered profound reflections on repentance, mercy, and compassionate love, drawing inspiration from Joel 2:13.

Through prayerful moments and meaningful inputs, participants were led to a deeper understanding of the Lenten call to return to God with sincere hearts. The programme concluded with gratitude, leaving all enriched and spiritually renewed at the start of the Lenten season.
