"Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." The National Biblical, Catechetical & Liturgical Centre (NBCLC) organized a day of fasting and prayer on February 22, 2023, in observance of Ash Wednesday.

The event was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Sandeep from Redemptory's Media Center, Bengaluru, who served as the Spiritual Animator. Also in attendance were Rev. Dr. A. John Baptist, the Director of NBCLC, and Fr. Nysson Luka, the Assistant Director. The animator delivered a thought-provoking discourse on the theme "Conversion towards Communion," focusing on the Three Temptations of Jesus and the different aspects of our personal lives: Body, Soul, and Spirit.

The session commenced with a prayer and a heartfelt message from Fr. Sandeep. Drawing from both the Old Testament and the Gospel of the New Testament, his words were applicable to the current state of the world. He emphasized the three core values found in the teachings of the Gospel: repentance, spiritual conversion, and the practices of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. The event garnered the participation of 130 individuals, including priests, religious personnel, and laypeople. An adoration service followed by a reconciliation service was conducted, with priests available to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Fr. Sandeep led the Stations of the Cross, accompanied by a choir composed of seminarians from Bhakti Bhavan. The event culminated in an Eucharistic Celebration, creating a spiritually enriching atmosphere for all attendees. The day concluded with a tea gathering at 3:15 pm.
