TWO WEEK COURSE FOR JUNIOR RELIGIOUS
(‘Young Religious, Go Forward’)
April 26 – May 08, 2021.


NBCLC conducted a two week course for junior women religious from 26th April to 08th May 2021. Due to this pandemic crisis the course was conducted via online. On 26th April, the course began with the Word of God and Prayer. Welcome words were addressed by Rev. Dr. A. John Baptist, Director, NBCLC. The number of participants were 31 sisters from different congregations. The resource persons were Rev. Msgr. Jayanathan, VG, Rev. Fr. William, Rev.Fr.Sebastian, Rev. Fr. Peterswamy, SMM Rev, Fr. Thampi Kayala, CSC, Rev.Fr. Lawrence, OFM Cap, Rev. Fr. Jerry Rosario, SJ, Rev.Fr. Gerry Lobo, OFM, Rev. Fr. Ambrose, Rev. Fr. A. John Baptist, Sr.Virginia Rajakumari, SAB Sr. Jessy Merline SMMI. The programme covered a wide range of topics such as Social Media - Blessing & Challenge (handled with care), “Call to Holiness”, Ministry of the Catechesis is the heart of Catholic Church, Discovering and Living the Religious Life Patrimony, Interior Life and life of Reconciliation, Formation of self for mission, Psycho- Spirituality, Societal analysis and call for conviction, Consecrated Life in the Church of Pope Francis, Demands of Surrender through Evangelical council in Committed life, Mission is our focus. There were inputs from the qualified professors. There were also interactions between the resource persons and the students.

This experiential course has awakened in the sisters a new enthusiasm for mission and has empowered them for their future ministry. For some the course also served as the preparation for their final commitment. Though the pandemic confined the sisters in their respective communities, because of the course they learned a lot and benefited a lot.
